Call for Nominations: Editor-in-Chief, Journal of the Association for Consumer Research

The Editor Search Committee of the Journal of the Association for Consumer Research (JACR) is seeking nominations for the role of editor-in-chief (EIC).

JACR publishes consumer-oriented scholarship (original research and literature reviews) with the aim of addressing marketplace issues of interest to academicians and practitioners alike. The EIC’s term is typically 3 years, to begin January 1, 2025.

The EIC’s stature in the field should be commensurate with JACR’s high quality, impact, and focus. The EIC typically holds the rank of professor.

Nominations are due by September 15, 2023. The Editor Search Committee (Keisha Cutright [co-chair], Linda Tuncay Zayer [co-chair], Tina Lowrey, and Tiffany White) will submit recommendations to the JACR Policy Board in January 2024.

Nominations, which may include self-nominations, should include a CV and brief (1 page) statement. The statement should highlight the qualifications of the nominee, such as prior leadership and/or editorial experiences. Inquiries or nominations should be submitted to Keisha Cutright and Linda Tuncay Zayer via email.
