2020 ACR Conference to Explore a Variety of Virtual Options
COVID-19 has wreaked havoc around the world and altered our traditional approaches to doing things. With this tremendous uncertainty as to when life will return to normal ACR has actively begun looking into alternative approaches for hosting the 2020 ACR Conference that was originally scheduled for Paris in October. Given that it appears unlikely that ACR members will be traveling freely to attend large gatherings by October, ACR has decided to explore a variety of virtual options for this year’s conference.
Rest assured the conference, a doctoral symposium, and an early career workshop will be held, but the format in which these occur will be different from what we are all used to – sadly, it will not be in person. Please also be assured that the ACR Conference team is continuing with the review process, will be sending out decision letters in July, and will be publishing the proceedings as usual. ACR is currently engaged in devising ways to make sure this conference remains an intellectually stimulating experience with continuing opportunities to network with your colleagues.
ACR expects to finalize the exact format of the various conference sessions this summer. All sessions will be held in some format with all papers included in the proceedings as usual. If you wish to withdraw your paper since the meeting will not physically be in Paris, please email the conference chairs at email@example.com by July 15, 2020.
