2016 Call for ACR Officer Nominations

The ACR Officer Nominating Committee is seeking nominations for four ACR Board positions. Nominations should include the name of the individual, their place of employment, the position they are being nominated for, and a brief description of why you think the nominee(s) would be a good officer of ACR. Nominees must be current ACR members. You may nominate an ACR member for more than one Board position. If the nominee is selected to run, the nominee will be slated for only one position. There are four positions open for nominations in the 2016 election:

President-Elect. The President-Elect serves a three-year term on the Board, assuming the duties of President-Elect on January 1, 2017, President on January 1, 2018, and Past-President on January 1, 2019.

Treasurer. The Treasurer serves a one-year term in training followed by a two-year term on the Board of Directors. The Treasurer provides financial oversight of the Association,monitors the Association’s financial activities, reviews and assists with conference budgets, etc. The Treasurer-in-training period starts on January 1,2017, with full treasurer duties from January 1, 2018 to December 31, 2019.

At-Large Director.  The at-large Director positions were created to increase the representativeness of the board of directors. The two-year term is from January 1, 2017 to December 1, 2018.

Perspectives Director (Academic-Industry). The academic-industry perspectives Director serves a three-year term and is responsible for representing the academic-industry perspective on the Board and fostering relationships between ACR and the industry. The term is from January 1, 2017 to December 31, 2019.

The ACR Nominating Committee members are Amna Kirmani, Chair (ACR Past President,University of Maryland), Margaret Campbell (ACR President-Elect, University of Colorado),Page Moreau (at-large director, University of Wisconsin), Hope Schau (at-large director, University of Arizona), and Amitava Chattopadhyay (non-Director member, INSEAD).
