Meanings of Diy in a Non-Western Mediterranean Market: the Case of Pastry-Making in Algeria
This paper explores the different meanings of DIY in a non-Western Mediterranean context. It presents how DIY transcends spatiotemporal, cultural and social boundaries to develop a more complex dialogue between Orthodox categorizations. It reveals DIY pastry-making meanings as reshaping time and space, expressing social distinction and projecting taste expression.
