From Consumption to Meaning: How Fans Consume Star Trek in Brazil
The study sought to understand the construction of consumption meaning of the Star Trek universe by trekkies in Brazil, by consumption metaphors (Holt, 1995). The results show that the choice and purchase of products are online, integration is done in the group, participation is immersion in the Star Trek universe.
