Welcome to Avalon: Expert Stakeholders' Socialization of Consumers Towards an Uncertain, Noumenal Technology (Nanotechnology)

This paper explores expert stakeholders’ socialization of consumers towards an uncertain, noumenal technology, nanotechnology. A qualitative analysis of the discourse of nine Nobel Prize Laureates and stalwarts in the field of Nanotechnology revealed their harnessing of the power of myths and magic to engender discursive closure about this technology.
