Her work on persuasion knowledge hasn't won anything, but she likes it the best.

Besides conducting research, Amna's passion is mentoring doctoral students. She has been involved in the PhD program since joining the University of Maryland in 2006, first as Co-director of the marketing PhD program and now as Director of all PhD programs at the Smith School. She recently graduated two students, and chairs or serves as a member of several doctoral committees.

Amna has been an ACR member since 1986. She has contributed to the organization in various capacities, including co-chairing the Doctoral Symposium in 2012 and the Working Paper Track in 2008, serving as Senior Associate Editor in 2011and  Associate Editor in 2009, and being a member of numerous Program Committees. She strongly believes in the mission of ACR as a collaboration of academics, industry and government, and is interested in upholding the integrity of the organization as well as the field of consumer research.
