Hope Jensen Schau is the Associate Dean of Eller MBA Programs, and holds the Gary M. Munsinger Chair in Entrepreneurship, Innovation and Marketing at the Eller College of Management, University of Arizona. She earned her PhD from the University of California, Irvine in 2000. Hope’s research focuses on brand building, integrated marketing communications, and the impact of technology on marketplace relationships and collaborative value creation. Her research hasbeen grant funded by the U.S. Department of Defense, the Marketing Science Institute, the Center for Research on Information Technology in Organizations (CRITO), and the McGuire Center for Entrepreneurship. She has published in high profile venues including the Journal of Consumer Research, Journal of Marketing, Journal of Retailing, Journal of Advertising, Journal of Consumer Affairs, Journal of Public Policy and Marketing among others. Hope serves on the Editorial Review Board of Journal of Consumer Research. Her research has been featured in outlets such as: Wired, New York Times, and National Public Radio. Hope is a Filene Research Institute Fellow, helping to further the credit union mission (“for people not for profit”) in the financial services sector. Her consulting experience includes work with McDonalds, Proctor and Gamble, Raytheon, Sony Music, Universal Music Group, and Starbucks. She has been a Visiting Scholar at University of Auckland and University of Cape Town.
Hope has been a dedicated reviewer for the Association of Consumer Research Conference since 1998, on the ACR North American Conference Program Committee many times and on the ACR Asia Pacific Conference Program Committee in 2012. She has served as Associate Editor for the ACR 2010 Conference, a Roundtable Organizer for the ACR 2012 Conference, and Working Papers Co-Chair for the ACR2014 Conference.
