Recognition of Scholarly Work
ACR recognizes the work of individuals who have made major contributions to the scholarly study of consumer behavior or contributions to the organization of ACR. Recognition includes the following:
ACR Awards
ACR Fellows: This award, instituted in 1979 recognizes the career contributions of ACR individuals, preferably during their lifetime for "significant impact on scholarly work in consumer behavior.
ACR Distinguished Service Award: This award expresses ACR’s deepest gratitude to one who has helped its members in ways that have built a stronger community of scientists and scholars in the field of consumer research.
Nicosia Award: This award is presented to the author/s of the best competitive paper presented at the North American conference.
ACR-Related Awards
JCR Long-Term Contribution Award: This award presented once every three to honor the long-term contribution of an article that appeared in JCR.
ACR/JCR Ferber Award: ACR provides a cash award to accompany the ACR/JCR Robert Ferber award for the best article published in JCR based on a Ph.D. dissertation
JCR Best Article Award: JCR selects the winners of the JCR Best Article Award and presents the award at the North American conference in October.
ACR/Sheth Foundation: ACR serves as a facilitator for grants from the Sheth Foundation and handles the selection process, with cash awards coming from the Sheth Foundation.
