2009 Recipients of the Fellow in Consumer Behavior Award


The Association for Consumer Research (ACR) announced at its 2009 North American conference in Pittsburgh, the newest recipients of the Fellow in Consumer Behavior award.  The Fellowship is the highest honor that ACR grants in recognition of an individual’s contribution to scholarly work in consumer behavior over an extended period of time. The award is given once every three years. Only 20 individuals have been bestowed this honor since the award was instituted thirty years ago. The names of previous winners are on the association’s web site, http://www.acrwebsite.org/.

 

The ACR Fellows announced in 2009 are:

  • Brian, Sternthal, Ph.D., Kraft Foods Chair in Marketing at Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management
  • Joseph W. Alba, Ph.D., distinguished professor and chair of the Department of Marketing at the Warrington College of Business Administration, University of Florida
  • John G. Lynch, Jr., Ph.D., the Ted Anderson Professor at the Leeds School of Business, University of Colorado-Boulder.

 


“The entire consumer behavior community is appreciative of the scholarly contributions to the discipline that these three scholars have made,” said Dr. Rajiv Vaidyanathan, Executive Director of ACR.  “The ACR Board takes the granting of Fellows very seriously and we only select those whose contributions are indisputable.”

 

ACR Fellows receive lifetime membership to the Association for Consumer Research and are invited to make a presentation at the ACR North American Conference in 2010, in Jacksonville, FLA.

 

The Association for Consumer Research is a non-profit organization whose mission is to advance consumer research and facilitate the exchange of scholarly information among members of academia, industry, and government worldwide.
